Home address or ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address for Ghost?
 

Hello,

I've gotten 2 conflicting opinions in the forum about which address to use when setting up my DBA for a Ghost. I very much appreciate the help but I need to clear this up. One person said that I should use a random address, not my home address from my previous account.

Another person said that I should not use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address on my DBA application because it is illegal.

Amazon Ghost says an advantage of using a DBA is that it's legal.

I'm very confused. Which address should I use? Also, which address should I use for my EIN? That REALLY needs to be legal, doesn't it?

DON'T LIE TO THE GOVERNMENT.

I'm telling you, you have to use factual personal info when dealing with the government. For your DBA and EIN you use your real information. Then you use a stealth address on Amazon. When tax time comes, you file taxes for the EIN. The name and address on your 1099 are irrelevant, because you just file taxes for your EIN.

Again, wait on the input of Amazon experts (good luck with that). This is what I've been doing with Ebay for years and there's never been any problems (or audits for that matter).

To clarify, you simply use an address you can access. You use an address that EXISTS.
Avoid your old banned info of a home address as well.


You never BS to the Tax Office. Posters suggesting otherwise are ........ bah humbug.

So GreenBean, after I get my DBA and EIN with my REAL address, then when I apply to Amazon I use an address I have access to, like a UPS Store box perchance?

UPS Store box (entered to look like a physical address) would work fine on Amazon
