Why do Amazon Suspend Good Sellers ?
 

Hello,

I would just like to throw this question out there because I'm still perplexed as why Amazon suspended my account after a few years of great selling success.
My appeal failed so i got fed up and will now go down the stealth route


Why do Amazon suspend good standing accounts with excellent metrics and then from what I can see from reading posts on the forum it's pretty simple to set up stealth accounts (i hope)...

From what I can tell. Amazon have a dedicated dept whose sole purpose is to close down good standing accounts !! I know they sometimes have genuine reasons, however I'm sure there are many excellent sellers out there like me that got shafted.


I just find it all this suspension stuff a bit weird. Do they suspend on purpose as part of their strategy ?

p.s my annual sales had reached $500k and I had shipped to over 20k customers and then without warning I was shafted

I'm also thinking it maybe the best thing that ever happened because now I know how to set up multiple accounts :-)

Its mostly automated. If accounts get flagged, then they go through a manual review. They usually determine if the account is high risk based on your seller metrics and what you're actually selling. Lots of issues / complaints usually leads to suspensions / appeals / closed accounts etc

I sure did, covered all thier concerns in my appeal but in the end, no joy

What reason did they actually give you for suspending? I assume they gave one as you would have needed something to base an appeal on.

They wanted supplier invoices for brand verification. I'm a drop shipper and I send them invoices from my authorized brand distributor however they would not accept them for some reason.

It was very strange that they would not accept the invoices considering that I had used the same supplier on Amazon for a few years (shipped tens of thousands of orders and had no problems)

Many of my competitors also use the same distributor and continue to sell on Amazon . I send them all the invoices they requested however my appeal failed despite the fact that my performance metrics where excellent
