Questions concerning "recyling" a computer for use with Amazon

Dear Community,

I have purchased the Amazon Ghost ebook quite a while ago under a different user name.

Now I am in the situation that I want to reuse a computer with a new Amazon account, that has been associated with another Amazon account before.

If I understand it correctly, I only need to do a fresh reinstall of the OS and change my ethernet adapter as well as the first device -in my case a router- I use to connect on to the internet. Is that right?

I got a little confused in the book, because the author spoke of changing your computers mac address, but actually seemed to refer to changing the mac address of the network adapter.

If I use a 4G USB internet stick, would it be enough to deactivate the built in ethernet adapter or might almighty amazon still be able to read this mac address?

Any other things I need to care about?

Thanks for helping me out.

Regards,
