Amazon VCC address and other stuff
 

K so I'm trying to set up my first amazon account. All the account setup steps have been done but I am running into trouble with the VCC. When I try to add my credit card to the account it comes up with an error saying 'we are currently experiencing technical difficulties, please try again in 15 minutes'. This has been going on for 2 days, does the registered address have to match my CC address or at the least the postcode. As I am having to put down my legitimate address in the CC form.

not yet, but this card is a standard Santander card, so it should have worked

Is it a Debit or Credit Card?

Santander debit/credit cards should work. If its a new account, try clearing your history/cache and adding it again.

K but does the address registered to the Debit card have to match the one i've put on the Amazon account, as they are different postcodes etc.

Some proper bank issued cards will accept mismatching information, but not all of them. Only way to find out is by testing it yourself

no what i mean is does the address on the amazon account have to match the one on the debit card

Elmo did answer that.

Some allow mismatching information, Santander should bypass that, it's one that doesn't require all 3 parts of the AVS check to match.
