How to know if I'm not allowed to sell something before I buy it

Is there a way to find out if I'm not allowed to sell something on Amazon before I buy it? Will they let me know before I try listing something?

Try adding the item to your inventory. It'll tell you right away if it's restricted or not.

Just because it doesn't say it's restricted doesn't mean you won't get suspended for selling it though.
