Can Buyer CANCEL a-z claim once opened?

Buyer opens claim (my fault on late shipping) requesting small partial refund so I'm trying to make a deal with buyer and give buyer a full refund instead and without any hint about the claim thru messaging. So far buyer loves my offer.

Anyway can the buyer cancel the az claim? And am I okay to fully refund or should I just partial refund within the claim request?
As far as metrics go..don't wanna hurt my rating any more.
Thanks!!

Re: Can Buyer CANCEL a-z claim once opened?

Never refund after a claim is opened. Refunding is basically admitting guilt and an automatic loss of the claim.

Represent your side to Amazon and hope for the best.

No I'd lose.
Anyways, I refunded.

At seller forums they say the buyer cannot cancel. Something like withdraw from it. And like you said it still effects metrics no matter what.
