Last month ebay got super strict
I have been in the game for many years, only joined the forums recent as around late November ebay seems to have hit a new level of bot aggression.
Over the years yes I lost many accounts but all of my loses were due to human error on my side and/or rushing or being careless.
I note that this change rolled in around the time or same time as the login password box slightly changed visually (more slim in design)
I lost all my accounts, have been rebuilding for 3-4 weeks now. I don't want to reveal too much technical details as my ways have been working well for me for many years and unfortunately ebay will read this sooner or later.
At this stage most of my new accounts are still breathing but 1 or 2 have been picked off. There is no obvious mistakes, I am starting to wonder now if the bots are simply targeting certain behaviours, this would mean there will be civilian fallout.
I also noticed that alot of their bans now come with a delay, it can be 30 mins since logging in or a week or 2, looks like there is alot of constant background pattern analysis.
I really hope that after xmas they will tune them down a bit |
