dynamic ip broadband internet provider Australia

Hi everyone in Australia

Is there any broadband provider like Optus, offer dynamic ip which you can change ur ip after you turn off and turn on modem?/

I am currently with iinet now and I can switch ip by just turning off the modem.

But they are pretty laggy and slow some times.

Please share your references, thanks

Hey bud i am with Big-pond on a adsl2+ plan. You can change the IP quicker and easier by just going to the address of your internet modem and disconnecting/reconnecting it from there. It saves you walking back and forth from your modem.

This is an example of one 192.168.1.254

There are a bunch of common ones that are used listed in the ebay stealth guide.

hiya, DO NOT GO TO DODO, i am amending what i put earlier, DODO only provide STATIC ip address, (to my dismay) - had to break contract and go over to Telstra Bigpond ADSL 2+, dynamic :) that keep on changing, WOW almost ready to put all stealth info together for my new account

it's taken a bit longer than what i had expected, but wanted to make sure got all the info right, have also read the stealth guide a few times so fingers crossed people

The problem is on my line I can't use ADSL2+. Only can use wireless or prepaid mobile broadband.. SO for this wireless broadband , is there any reference?

Thanks

I bought a prepaid mobile broadband, it works a treat. Automatically changes IP everytime you log off and on between user accounts. Made me very lazy though, when I went back to my landline PC, I almost forgot to turn the modem off in between accounts.
Just keep IP burger as your home page in all user accounts, to check that your IP is actually changing.

what exactly prepaid mobile broadband is it? Mind PM me if u don't wanna share on public? thx

Depends on where you are, as to what sort of coverage you can get. Telstra covers most areas, Optus and the others have less as they don't have access to all of Telstra's towers. And depending on what provider that you are with, when it comes to peak times, the lower down the pecking order of priority you go.
So the cheaper the deal, probably means the less access and lower priority you get in peak times. Does that make sense?

You can check a providers coverage by googling it.

And to answer your question, I went with Telstra, as I was on the go and needed to make sure of coverage.
I just went into a Optus shop and asked about their coverage and prices, then in to Telstra's.

Do you think there is any chance of a internet provider rating you out to the website you keep changing IPs for? Sometimes i think yes because maybe they would get a reward or something from ebay? On the other hand i think no because they want to keep your buissness.

From this do u think it would be best to go with a popular internet provider that has to deal with tons of customers and would pay no attention to one person. Or a less popular internet provider that would taylor to your needs and not give a F$CK about what you did to keep you as a customer???

I am only with bigpond because my parents are. Thank god that when i started this ebay stuff it was dynamic :amen: I am still not sure who to go with when i move out and would prob make up my mind when it actually happens.

hey buddy, thats not your external ip address that ebay checks.
192.168.1.254 is your internal ip address given to you by your router. even though this address changes your external ip address will be the same.

they only way to check if your ip changes is to do the ipchicken. that gives your external ip address check it before and after you powercycle your router.
