have to pay fees on accts that I never opened, now restriction on my acct!
 

here goes...
registered a new sellers acct with store at first wouldnt accept my card contacted trust and safety.. they gave me a list of accts that were opened with that card..not by me.
Herses the good part I got a new card listed my first item and bang i got a restriction placed on my acct til the unpaid fees from these accts I never opened are paid this ll happened last year apparently.
So I called ebay and 7 operators later (no joke) they asked me to send my id to them via fax eg drivers license etc to reinstate my acct, strangely the fax number was in the US.
So what are my chances of getting my account reinstated? or will ebay just say toobad and i have to pay the fees that this person has racked up with my details (thankfully the fees only add up to $100 but geez hard to pay when i dont have access to these accts!)

Is this a debit/credit card from your bank? or one of those virtual cards etc?

Welcome to the forums. eB ay is NOTORIOUS for giving false hopes. If you have been linked to other accounts, whatever - consider the account gone.

Don't make new accounts until you understand the principles of STEALTH and being UNLINKED to old accounts.

A lot of info you are leaving out so I cannot judge much more but I suspect there is "more to this than meets the eye".

The card that was compromised was a bank one and so is my new one, im happy to give more info this if needed just not sure what else to put. The police that deal with e crime here are 3 hrs away and are utterly useless so im not bothering with that avenue as I hadnt had any other issues and the card is cancelled.

Are you saying that your tried to add your new bank card to Pay Pal and that they said it had already been used with "a list of accounts" (which I don't think is possible) and now you owe them the debts these accounts racked up? :suspicious:

If you are trying to add a bank card in a name and address different to your Pay Pal account then this will not work. The info on the card has to match the info you gave Pay Pal

Thats Insane! Must be a lie. Ebay is paranoid.. all the scammers out there.....

yes got the'dont contct us we'll contact you within 72 hrs spin on Sunday still havent heard back, so ill just consider that acct null and void. Ive dated guys that havent even made as many excuses as ebay. And for those of you now squirming in their seats its ok, im female.

I would agree w Rsot, first off if you have already not gotten Ebay Steath, I strongly recommend it's reading. When i first started is was completely invaluable!
