Stealth account limited
 

So I created a stealth account last night and listed one item. Logged in today and the account has been limited. They require me to phone in.

What happened? I used my step mothers name, stealth addy (local pub), new number, new CC and new email. ISP used is my iphone. I've used my phone before with my real EB current account however I made sure I changed the IP with the stealth account. I can't think of any reason why this happened unless my local pub address is burnt or my IP got linked to my current real EB account.

Really would like an opinion on this before I try again.

Do you mean a mobile phone was used?

If so, did it have the ebay appl downloaded?

Yea mobile tethering. I deleted the Ebay app before the account was created.

You likely listed too quickly - same day as seller account was made, correct?

May not have been enough.

Using the ebay app is never recommended.

As rsot mentioned you were far far far too quick to list.

Was paypal verified and confirmed? There is no mention of that aspect.

Could of been few things , need to know exact steps. If u logged on with ur iPhone browser did you clear cookies first. Or did you delete the app and reinstall it?? Of or ur using PC did u make separate user accounts.

And yes could be listing so fast

Forgot to ask what was the notice?

Can you give us the full notice..... ebay Australia is slightly different from the other countries when it dishes out suspensions that quickly after account creation....

I know I have had a stealth account limited after I setup the account as a seller account without listing anything.

all they wanted was just for me to call in and talk about what I will be selling and they give you "tips" you should not need to give any personal information infact you use your stealth name when you call.

it only took me 5 minutes and the account was unblocked and I was able to list he also raised my selling limits a bit. Just be polite and ask questions like you are brand new to eBay play dumb lol

A worthy point but GB's question on the exact notice is good as is knowing the status of PP verified or not

Whoops, wasn't PP verified or linked. Phew. Just called EB and went through the verification process. Asked me what I was going to sell, that's it.

I've used a stealth first and last name, how do I add my bank account to PP? The last name is locked in. I can only add first name and account details. HELP!

It doesn't have to match your real details.

Your bank account should accept deposits in different names...in general, you should be fine. You keep the name of the PP and pop in the bank account under the STEALTH name.
