Then as soon as I list something (literally within an hour of it going up) they've suspended me and asked that I call them.
| Take a deep breath and don't worry. Exact same thing happened to me earlier this month with my new stealth account.
This probably happened b/c eBay could not verify your stealth information in their database. So to them, yes, they want you to call and verify.
All you need to do is call them with a phone number registered in the same area code as your stealth state. This can be done using Google voice.
Once you've verified your outgoing number looks like it is originating from your stealth area, call up ebay support.
Have all your stealth information available to answer their questions.
My experience was luckily, a breeze. The CSR agent mentioned they are doing this on all new accounts. She didn't even ask me any account related questions, only asked what was my intention on selling on ebay, in which I replied to "sell some things i have around the house"
I was very polite to her and at the end of our convo, she bumped up my limitations to 15/$1000 (was 10/$500 i think). I thanked her for wonderful help.
Tips:
1. Be very polite to the CSR. CSR agents are people too (yes, i know, shocking).
2. If you get a CSR agent in a bad mood, hang up and try again later. Be persistent.
3. Have all your stealth details handy in case they do throw you a curve ball question |
