If you use the land line number, you can block your own phone number.

I block on the mobile. Free unlimited calls

I dont believe you can block your caller id when you call a toll free number

can you please confirm that in Australia, if you call the 1800 number, you can't block your number even when using your mobile?

I hope that is not true. I've been using my personal mobile number to sort out ebay/paypal issues. always thought putting it on private would be safe. :(
