Paypal verification email
 

Hi Everyone

I have a long standing stealth account, both PP and EB. ID was verified for PP a long time ago and withdrawal limits have been lifted for PP also.

I recently received an email from PP requesting business ID to be verified to be able to continue using pp by a specified time frame. In the email, they mention to login into my pay pal account and follow the notification prompts to determine what documents they require, however, when I login there is no notification regarding this issue.

Has anyone received the same email as i'm thinking this might not be legit?

To determine if the email is legitimate check the email address it was sent from, obviously that can be spoofed but that is step one. Step two is to check any links within the email, if they link to a phishing site you will know because of the domain. Does the email 'address' you by your PayPal name?

I split my sales across numerous accounts so I have never experienced said action however its pretty easy to work out if the email is legitimate or not. What worrys me is that there is no notification in your PayPal inbox.

If there is no sign of it when you login and the account is working fine, then it's usually a phishing
email.

Just ignore it or report it.

AK81, the email header states my PP name, however, the body of the email doesn't. I checked the email address it was sent from and it seems legit. Strange that there is no notification in my PP inbox though.

Yes had the same thing emails 2 days before anything in the messages, then limited until supplying ID and address details, we are talking about an extremely geriatric account:typing:
