Is Name + Address Banned for Ever
 

My Paypal Account was Permanently at least 4 years ago so I basically stopped using paypal and ebay and moved on to other things

I thought i read that Paypal would allow someone who had been previously limited to open a new account for buying only

I don't have any other address options and a PO Box is not really worth the cost to purchase a few items of ebay
So thought I try I opened an account with same details as the previously limited account and let it sit for a month it stayed alive then added a L&G debit card let it sit some more still alive
one odd think here paypal didn't request I verify this card do the 2 deposit thing is that optional now ?
Made some ebay purchases and paid
a message displayed saying payment was successful
it appear what happened next is paypal reversed those payments as they were all refunded on the paypal account
and on ebay it appears as if the purchases didn't occur at all as those items return to being in my cart there is no purchase history at all

Strange that my paypal account still remained in good standing I would have thought if paypal link this account and therefore reverse the payment it would have been limited then and there I this left me wondering if paypal placed a permanent on my address

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Accounts used for buying only doesn't usually have issues. If you turn this eBay/PayPal into seller that's where probems might start.

If an account has been limited, never use the same phone number of name with matching date of birth. An address you might be able to re-use but remember paypal looks for any kind of links so ideally you'd trash the address also.

you might as well bleach your skin or get a tan for such a limitation

If your ebay account is still active you can still purchase items.

When going to pay you can use the 'credit card' option not "PP".

Yes it is. Avoid address. They once banned everyone in my household

Sole Trader, no. They will ban it. Set up a new entity and its fine
