paypal data retention - how long?

If i remove my bank account from me perfectly legit paypal account and add a new one - how long do paypal keep a record of my old one?

If i delete my paypal account entirely - of my own free will (no limitations/restrictions) how long do they keep records?

My understanding is this varies from country to country but couldnt find any information for AU.

On a side note, how long does ebay keep records after account closure?

I think it's permanent. Even if they *CLAIM* to have deleted the data but its on their very server's.

It's not a secret but they don't/won't admit it.
