money stuck in paypal

recently paypal asked for id, i sent them id which was not good enough apparently.. now my account is limited and no chance of appeal.

must i wait for the 180 days now ?

they made it clear that there is no chance of appeal

i sent them passport id, but the passport just expired and i did not have any utility bills. so i sent them a government issued letter and also birth cert. They rejected all this etc.. and money still stuck.

Any ideas?

I'm in the same situation & my appeal was denied, have to wait until January 6th 2011! Ugh, I HATE PP!

ACCC is being bombarded with complaints against them. Hence their paymate conversion. etc. Write the ACCC and cc them. After that contact your lawyer. That usually speeds up things. They are NOT a bank and I suspect they are 'so close' to being banned in Australia if they continue to hold funds for 6 months for dubious reasons whilst paying no interest.

thanks for advice.. i can admit im not a complete cleanskin, but talk about border line illegal, the stuff they do. jesus christ.. this has happened to me more than once. the first time i had 40k stuck and i actually waiting for the 180 days. it completely destroyed my business, my cashflow, in effect caused me stress to my family and personal life ( i was interviewed by police several times and put under extreme stress) because of the fact that i had all the money tied up and was unable to ship certain items, i had to then take loans out to cover all this to avoid jail etc.. anyway. that was a while ago. just cant get over how these *******s get away with it and whats more suprising the staff sit there probably brainwashed.. and continue this bull**** . the emails are all cut and past jobs and u can never get a freakin straight answer. andyway im sure all u have heard this before. round in loops for months. fu%%%in disgrace of a company.
