paypal question for new account
 

Hi guys just a quick question. One thing i dont get is that my old paypal with my real name was banned. People say that to make a new account use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name so yup all good. So presuming i have done all that and im up and running here in AUS the only wat to get your money is to add a bank. So i can make a new account at my local branch no problem but it has to be in my real name. That automatically identifies me as a banned user from paypal?

Bank accounts are always made in your real name.

But when you get the BSB & account number that is ALL you add to your new stealth paypal.
On the whole paypal does not see the real name... :juggle:

Your paypal page will have a message that names have to match etc. But that's a trick by paypal that you can ignore.

One point do be careful which bank you choose to use. suncorp are not friendly towards 'stealth' & sometimes St George.

Which bank are you going to use ( Soz mybad ;))...

Welcome to the forums. You must get the bank account under your name but PP will accept the bank registered in its system under a diff name.

Thanks for the quick reply. Commonwealth bank is what my other account is through. Im going to close the acc that is linked to paypal and in a week or so open up a new one. I like to use netbank and am used to commonwealth bank netbank i hope paypal cant link these at all since my internet login to view all accounts is the same.

are you using the same pc , same ip? please clarify

Just to login to my netbank. For ebay i am going to get a prepaid sim through virgin but i will ring first to make sure its not a static ip. One other question guys do i have to use a different bank account for each paypal that i create? Or can i withdraw to the same bank on many paypals as long as the registered paypal details are different. And what is the best credit card verification method for us Aussies?

Ok so virgin is a static ip. Any1 kno good cheap prepaid broadband with dynamic ip in Aus?

@azumihk, welcome to the forums - Pringles a.k.a Mr. Chips is right. I would also recommend you read around the forums +/- get the stealth guide and understand the method better.

I've read many times that the different names work fine.
But what about the address on the bank.
Is Paypal able to see the address that you have with the bank at all?

Also, quick check, BankWest is ok for different names to do withdrawal?

Paypal do not see the address ( as of today).

BankWest is GREAT for stealth. Never had a problem.

Had a buyer do a bank transfer with the stealth name & account details. Teller accepted the deposit with no questions.

Banks like them Commonwealth, Bendigo &ANZ seem more tolerant ;)

Is it adviseable to use a friend's address for stealth?
Will eb link my account to my friend's account?
Obviously all the details on the accounts are different except for address.
I don't see how this makes sense because just because why should my account be linked to my flatmate's?
Many different people can stay together in the same house and have their own accounts.

Can you tell me more about this phone verification?
I heard it can only be done through a landline now... so the options are very limited.
When do they give you this call?
How do you go about this?

Real name of course.
You can NEVER change your name or open an account in a different name, that I definitely know.
I have opened bank accounts in 4 different countries, FYI.
There are a few "special" type of accounts that you can open totally anonymously without any name at all, but that's a totally different topic and game.
So, real name - no confusion there.
I was actually asking about the address.
I just put the part about the name in as they go together in the topic.

You can have a different address on your bank, that I know.
You may not be able to have a different address when you open it (not sure about this) but I'm very sure that you can definitely change your address, since people move.
And I have done this over the phone - no need to supply docs, easy.

My issue now is really with the address and not the name.
My name is very flexible and I can use different parts of it on different accounts and they will all look like different people, yet they are all legit as they are all my name.
The problem now is I have an AU bank account opened long ago when I was in AU, but now I do not have an AU address as I've moved.
I want to open an AU eBay and AU PP and link this AU bank account.
The bank already has a different name as that of my other eB accounts so no problem with name at all; I can use the same bank name even.
The other thing is, since I can use my real name on bank, I want to set it up such that it is a real legit account and if they ever need any docs from me, I will be able to supply it.
So I'm trying to work out this address thing... hence the many questions.

Also, while I'm at it, I'm really wondering what most people here do for their address.
Do they just make something up?
Will that work?
I know many use some sort of mail forwarding service or PO Box... but not much info. on Aussie for this.
