Set up a PayPal account without eBay, receiving payments only.
 

Hi guys,

Is it ok to set up a PayPal account only, no eBay account attached. And then using it to purely receive payments?

Obviously will start with smaller amount, couple hundreds, and slightly increase.

Please let me know if this can be done.

Of course.

paypal can be used for what we describe as off ebay transactions.

BUT, I would recommend you have at least one other payment option too.

Please know now that even these transactions can have limits put on them.

This is not going near ebay at all though, I hope.

I have thought about other payment methods, however, most my buyers, even the long-term buyers they prefer using PayPal invoice, as so they get the invoice I sent and they can use that for tax purposes.

And no, I will not have this PayPal account linked with any of my eBay account.

Also, for example, if I receive payments through PayPal for Electricals, we all know it is a high risk category. What if I write the invoice as Stationary? Or some other less risky products? Would this a good idea or nah?

I'm just trying to figure out a way that I can have the account long-term and receive relatively large quantity of payments.

Nope, nothing to do with eBay. Just a PayPal account on it's own, receiving payments from my long-term buyers.
