Paypal has banned Load & Go BSB now?
 

Tried to make 2 new accounts yesterday.. both said You cannot add a bank account at this time. Should note I also made 1 the previous day and it worked fine.

Figured maybe it's a random error and tried it again today.. again the same thing. So I tried a suncorp bsb number and what do you know it worked, which can only lead me to believe that Paypal has finally banned the L&G bsb for new accounts. On current accounts with the l&g bank account still attached it still works fine as in you can still make withdrawals.

Can someone please confirm if they hit the same problem if they make any new accounts from today on? Thanks.

yep i am having the same issues.

Considering load and go is a heritage bank product. If you were to use the same account name and account number but just a different heritage bank BSB, could that work or would the transaction just bounce.

Just tried to add bank account with mis-spelt bank name PP would not accept

Was able to add the account with a different heritage bank BSB number.

Will have to wait and see if the bank transactions actually go through.

I have a 'proper' heritage bank account, when you open for example an online bank account with them the account number remains the same and the BSB changes. This is different to most other banks here where the BSB remains constant and you get a new account number.

Yeah, I've got a bank account were the BSB is constant so i thought maybe heritage might be a little similar but after a bit of research online it seems very unlikely the different BSB method will work with Heritage.

Might call it early here, i reckon the Load & Go card might have just served its last valuable purpose on paypal. Quite baffling that ebay and paypal took this long to cut them off from their system.

No, the alternate BSB with the right account number and name does not work.

The card can still be registered as a credit card though, just not a bank account. There are still a couple of methods in which you can use the cards on stealth accounts though,just takes a little extra work.

Same problem.

Tried several different cards and error message. Then tried a CBA and worked fine.

I have two active from three months ago and still able to withdraw perfectly fine.

Is there another way without using own bank details?

Yes in the same problem as well

Im currently registering my L&G card as a credit card on Paypal, awaiting to see if the transactions appear in the account.

Other than that have no idea as to where to go now ? Entropay ?

Any VBAs work with Aussie accounts? Have zero experience ever using one considering we've always had the L&Gs.

If the Load&Go cards are truly banned from paypal forever thats to bad because it was one of the most 100% anonymous bank accounts that you could have with paypal in existence.

My Aussie friends loved them!

if you don't want to post info on public. please private message me. i have had a break from ebay selling during the last 3 months.

About to go back into it. I have plans to go out and buy 5 brand new load & goes tmrw just for paypal. i don't want to go and waste money on them if its not working. they are $7 a card. :(

Working perfectly for me, 2 accounts verified last week and already selling.
Might be because i'm in this country only 8 month and their database still didn't update, really doubt it :/ Before buying 5 i would recommend trying with 1 just to make sure.

no you withdraw the money to your own card via entropy and away from paypal and ebay. The problem is that entropay only give you a virtual credit card and thats it. Load n Go was a VCC and had a BSB and account with it.

Do entropay have similar cards? or is it just a VCC.

is load and go still no more? was it just a few weeks or a permanent thing, Ive managed to find alternative ways but do miss the LGs!!

Has anyone tried to call PP to get the L&G details added manually?

I had a similar situation where I could not add my bank details and PP added this manually for me.

Be worth trying.
The other Load and Go the one you have to give all your details at the post office still works. They told me a person can have only one of these. Of course easier to use a regular bank account.

Some of the employees are confused so they tell people you can have only one but as far as i know you can have as many as you like. I got more than 20.

No, the travel load and go you're only allowed one of. Someone try calling and seeing if it works pls.. i've been lazy lately.

What's the travel BSB by the way? wouldn't mind trying it to see if it would work using its bsb with the regular load and go account number.. highly unlikely tho

As far as I know you can't withdraw money to any post office card, maybe only if you attached it more than a year ago.

I got more than 20 L&G's registered here https://loadandgo.auspost.com.au/web.../register-card and none of them can receive payments. As far as i know, more than a year ago it worked fine but now it's just for CC verification. I wish i was wrong and they still had some card that you can withdraw to.

He said the travel card, not the regular card.

But anyways I didn't realise cards that had been added before the ban weren't working either now? Mine still are but they're all over 1 yr old, have a few more recent ones waiting that I was just about to start building up.. don't like the sound of that.
