New PayPal Check Identity Message?

Hi guys,

This morning I was logging into my PP account, and got this message.

Have had my account for 2 years now with very good record. Been selling eBay & PP for about 7 years now, never experienced this before.

Has anyone came across this before? What will they ask?

As this is a 100% stealth account, I don't have any sort of documents.

No I didn't. Just did some research about working capital and only just found out about the loan they offer. But I definitely didn't apply for anything.

got the same thing on all 3 of my stealth accounts. One is 5 years old and has 25,000 feedback. Didn't apply for a loan or even remember reading anything about it. It may be paypal getting updated information in preparation for the split from ebay. Certainly hope there not going to ask for business registration ect or its all over. Haven't received a phone call or follow up email yet.

When did you got the notification? Are your accounts all registered as business?

I saw it at about 9am today when I logged into paypal, no, non of my ebay accounts are registered businesses but I do pay tax on all of my income.

It's probably linked to the recent ID verification changes the Aussie government have brought in, had the same issue with an XE currency account

I wonder if it has anything to do with the end of financial year here in Aus?

Has your Paypal account been through the verify ID that usually comes up after you've had $1000 go through the account?

My monthly trading is about $20k, account has been verified long time ago.

I also turnover about 20k a month! :) some more information - my pre paid credit cards on all of the accounts have expired, they have been for ages. Are your expired westcoast_d?

I have 1 card expired, and have not yet received my new card. I would assume the new card will have the same BSB & ACC & Card number, just different EXP & CCV? Shouldn't be much of a issue to update the new card.

So you have more than 1 stealth ebay account? Did they all get the paypal message but only 1 account had an expired cc? Would be great if it was just the expired CC issue. Easily fixed

I got something similar on a small account when I forgot the password, no uploading docs though they just want answers to couple account security questions, or a phone call when they would probably ask those security questions again.

I have 2 stealth, but I didn't use the other account on that day. This account didn't have that message anymore since yesterday.

At the end of last year. I remember paypal updating their terms and conditions to say that they could/would do credit checks on people using premier or business accounts. This could be the credit check.

Since then, i have registered all my stealth accounts on personal just in case.

Does one have an expired CC and the other that didnt get the message a Valid in date CC?

Say this is the case, how do I get around this if I already have a Premier Account? The credit check will show up nothing as the person doesnt exist. Where to from there?

Surely they would not can you for not showing up on a credit report? Not every one will show up on a credit report.
I was opening an account with the Loto to buy Lotto online. They got back to me saying I did not show up on Dunn and Bradstreet credit list. I have not made a credit application in many years so I guess I have fallen off their system. My mother has not had used credit since the 1960's and would not show up on there credit reports.

I would try using an example like this when you speak with Paypal.

I think they want you to get involved in the usury business, they are seeking sellers whom have high turnover and then hit you with a loan for there usury % fee's, I read this is very profitable market for paypal. However it also shows that through out history when ever a company or a state does usury they are eventually the end of there life cycle of a company or state or empire etc etc :)
