Default Auction Pulled off Ebay - Not sure why

Hi:
Need some expert help.
I am selling a VeRo item. I listed in in several accounts for YEARS then one day it was pulled and ebay stated that it was a violation of copywring laws. I used ebay's picture and description which supplies the UPC code.

Then I listed this item in a new account with 100% positive feedback. within 1 hour the listing was pulled for the same reason. I see others selling the exact same product using the exact same ebay supplied listing, picture and UPC code.

One reason that ebay gave me was that the listing contained "indicators". They would not elaborate.

What do you think happened?

It's hard saying without knowing what you are selling and how many are listed by other sellers. If it is a highly competitive item with many sellers I can almost gaurantee your item was reported by a competitor. Happens all the time.

Default Auction Pulled of Ebay - Not sure why

Thanks aking.
It's a dvd set. How is it that you think I could have been flagged? The only way someone would be able to tell if the item is ligit or not is to buy it. right?
At any one time there must be at least 12-15 other ebayers selling the exact same thing. Almost every account I have has had at least one auction pulled for "copywright violations". Do you think the accounts are being more closely watched? I know how I could determine if this is so. I have new ebay account with no problems. I should try to list this item there and see what happens. what do you think?

Yes, I used to sell DVD sets and got flagged everytime. I would leave them alone. It is very easy to get flagged, any competitor will look at your sales and see that you are selling more at a higher price and easily report you to shut you down. BAM, your done just like that.

I did not understand why I was getting targetted either until I thought about it. My supplier was also an ebay seller, so it made perfect since for him to track me down and report me so I couldnt take his sales.

I wouldnt sacrifice your good account either, chances are the same thing will happen and your good account will be gone as well.

Conclusion: Sell something less competitive.

Thanks aking. good advice. Never thought about the fact that maybe my suppliers are ratting me out. It's quite possible. They do know my ebay ids.

Over the past 6 weeks, many listings of DVDs have been pulled: the reason
has been the generic one you mentioned, bigblue. If you can stay away from them & list something else

They can find out. Your suppliers know what city and state you live in. All they have to do is search for there products in that specific location and they know its you.

Even with a stealth account you really should be using the same city and state as your real address. If your IP address is somewhere around Nashville, TN place nowhere near your "stealth" address says Los Angeles, CA you may get limited.

Aking, read this thread. You don't need to use a location close to yours.
