re-using photographs
 

I've stopped using one of my accounts for selling and ended a load of listings so i have items that are unsold.
I have photos of about 30 items (pre-owned clothing) i would like to relist on a different account but having read all the info above about not using same photos on different accounts.
Any thoughts on how long ebay keep the information for photographs? When would you consider it safe to use these photos on a different account? If ever!

records are kept forever... you cannot reuse same identical photos.

A slight change in size or format will work but maybe not under manual review. It also depends if photos are kind of unique or not in the eBay community.

I reside photos. I use an app for Mac the removes meta data from the pictures I reuse. The app is called image OPTIM

safest option is to re take photos. make sure your privacy is off so that the image doesnt store info such as your location

Delete the metadata and crop the images to change the ratio/size also add logo or sticker etc.. good to go

I have noticed that if you use Auctiva it automatically deletes the metadata from the photos. So if you download the photo from your auctiva inventory it will not have it, so only might be useful to change the dimensions, or add some watermark etc. But watermarks or added text or any other content added manually except of the natural photo itself are not allowed by ebay Picture policy, so for longer run or for the easier reuse of the photos in the future, i would not recommend adding any additional content to it.
