Classified ads

Has anyone ever used a classified add on Ebay to sell there product?I saw a add on Ebay for a DVD set(yes Vero, probably ⊗⊗⊗⊗) that was a classified add.The add had a pay now with Paypal link right in the add.The cool thing is other buyers/competitors cant see how many items you have available. Also with a classified add buyers cant leave feedback. So you wont have to be bullied into giving refunds.Plus the add only cost $9.99 a month. This might be something cool to check out.

I have used it and you have to get very creative with your description - meaning entice them to buy from you - make them feel like they can trust you. Other wise they will ignore you. It also depends on what you're listing though.

My first time I had no sales in the first week, lots of views and a few watchers. Second time - same item, my description was more professional and enticing and ..... so I did good with that one.

Classified adds can be a useful tool if used correctly, depending on what you are selling.

do classified ads show up in regular search?

captainjack1980 08-19-2009 01:17 PM

yes..... just have to pick the right category (classified ads can only be listed in certain categories) and site to list on as they don't show up internationally.

Lots of stuff on google on the pros and cons of classified ads.

LOL I saw a classified ad for a dvd set as well (maybe the same)- seems like a good way to make some $$$- I think I'll give it a shot in a week and if all goes well I'll report back
