What are the best techniques to deter people from snipe bidding or make them bid earlier?

Pricing things low doesn't do it.

And I don't do that much buyitnow because I either have to do the buyitnow horribly low and then make everyone think my items are worth a lot less than they are, or nobody uses on the buyitnow price.

I've found that making everything end at the exact same time tends to make them bid minutes before the auction instead of seconds. I think this is because they use software and so they're afraid it won't work if they try to snipe 20 items at starting bid within 2 seconds. Whereas if I space them out, they will bid within 0-5 seconds before the auction ends.

I am not sure how to stop them, but why would you care? A bid is still a bid regardless of the time it was placed.

early bidding or sniping. Its all in the technique. Don't list an item for a price your not comfortable with. It can be a gamble. Your best bet is to list an item when you know the most people will be there to actually see it end. I find the snipers are the buyers that often pay and and the fastest. I am also entertained when a sniper put their highest value to a point where they are certain they are going to win but they don't realize that the high bidder has a nice high bid already.

What i don't get are those who open their bid at the starting bid with the exact bid. This is dumb!!! Bid it it to the next increment at least.

Today I had this happen. I had a buyer (Buyer A) who always bids starting bid, then gets outbid and never outbids. Well today something happened.

Buyer A: Bids starting bid $1 three days before it ends
Buyer B: Outbids him $10 a day before it ends
Buyer C: Uses software and snipe bids 40 seconds before it ends for $12.
Buyer A: Uses software set to snipe bid and does it two seconds before it ends, but only bids $11. Still got outbid.
