How do I make my auctions come up early in the search?
 

Are there keywords or something?

.01 starting price and Free shipping will take you very far but you better make sure its high demand item these days. I have found that listing early in the morning works for some items also.
Terapeak can help you find best times to sell for any certain item. Go make money!

With BIN listings, ther more you sell, the higher up you will go.

Am I the only one that changed the setting to "time ending soonest".......I HATED and STILL HATE that ebay "change"...

Pretty much, yes...

Most users just browse the listings the way eBay lays it out for them. Ending Soonest is now something that "power users" do.

EDIT TO ADD:

Positive feedback helps. As do being a powerseller and a TRS.

But I hate it too.

Sadly, experienced eBay users will find you if you have what they want. Never a problem. Its the newer buyers that miss you all too easy with the "best match for our best sellers but not little guys because they don't pay as much in fees and don't matter" Or as they call it "best match"

Best match is so far from an actual best match of the search its an oxymoron...
