I bet they will link any sucker that uses Magento. If I had a big store built in Magento, I would export the database and rebuild in Joomla or Drupal. They have ecommerce options available too and their templates are pretty slick.
Good luck!

Wanna add a thought.
I have an account on Magento which BTW matches one of my suspended accounts on ebay.
Now I have to abandon my magento account and HOPE I never logged into it from an IP address that's linked to a different ebay account.
Scenario. Let's say I have 2 unlinked ebay accounts and one Magento account:
Magento account 1 = M1
Ebay Account 1 = E1
Ebay Account 2 = E2
If I logged in Magento while on the same IP from E1, the M1 and E1 are linked.
So if I accidentally logged in Magento M1 while using E2...then M1 is also linked to E2, therefore E1 and E2 are linked.
Isn't Magento open source? I took have an ecommerce site recently built using Magento cart software. Why/how would eBay be able to link the two together?
They can't access my hosting website to check IP's etc., as the above poster mentioned. Curious if I'm missing something here.
Newyorker,
same principle that applies to paypal. How would ebay link you through paypal which is a separate company? They own it, they can track you. SAme with Magento.
As far as I know Magento USED TO BE open source. Or mayne it still is, but if ebay bougth it, they will start linking people, like they always do.

I totally get what you're saying but just trying to understand how they can do this from a technical standpoint.
How can they check our IP's for a website hosted on my own server?
