when to start listing buy now prices?

when should i start listening at buy now price does it matter when do i start any suggestions or advice?

rsot 11-14-2011 06:39 AM

No real suggestions or advice - just list slow and hopefully your item is not high-risk.

infinity 11-14-2011 06:16 PM

but do you suggest when i should list buy is buy now prices considered more risky than auction listings?

NotAHappyBunny 11-14-2011 07:51 PM

i did from the off on a few acct's

infinity 11-14-2011 07:56 PM

how much did you have listed cuz some of my items are considered high risked does it matter if i run 6 auction at 7 days vs 6 buy now prices listing at 31 days?

NotAHappyBunny 11-14-2011 08:15 PM

my items were not high risk so.... you've heard the advice - list them at your own peril - very very slowly if high risk - they would probably limit you from the off if you tried to list lots of high risk.
Example: on one of my account's I list a high risk- low priced item. They won't let me list more than 3-4 per month.

i have sold about 30 items and about 20 of them are considered high risk and its ok but ive been only doing like 5 per week auctions i just want to do buy now prices since i can garentee the price i want

How old was your account when you sold 30 items ?

infinity 11-16-2011 11:27 AM

almost at the 3 month mark

yaBeh8ater 11-17-2011 10:26 PM

Thats great but if I were you I would take it easy now. Almost past the 3 month mark. Wouldn't want to F*** that up now would we?

Pringles 11-18-2011 12:29 AM

when you guys say 3 months, do you mean 3 months old or 3 months of seller activity? if i were to create a stealth and let it age for 3 months is that the same?

NotAHappyBunny 11-18-2011 04:48 PM

eb only judge u on your selling activities - so even if the account is 12 months old - if you have been selling for the past recent 3 months - they will judge you upon this.

seanws30 11-20-2011 04:57 PM

i did buy it now day 1. just not fixed price. i listed as auction with buy it now. few used buy it now, few didnt.

Pringles 11-20-2011 06:55 PM

at 0 feedback would you consider one $50 low risk item listing with multiple quantities (around 10?) ok?

Callidus 11-21-2011 05:11 AM

Pringles, from what Ive been reading on these forums recently, with 0 feedback thats got to be risky.. you might attract some serious heat

In my opinion not a good idea. Personally, I would list one, sell it, get feedback, list another. Do this until you've built up a bit of seller feedback. It also depends on the specific item as well.

Please remember that some methods that work for one seller, may get another seller canned.

Pringles 11-21-2011 10:20 AM

thanks for the advice guys
at the moment ive been maintaining around 5 auctions per new stealth
working alright so far... but we'll see :)

seanws30 11-24-2011 06:46 PM

depends on the item. i can list fixed price style on some items for $60 and list the same item auction style and it might sell for $80. however, on all of my auction style listings, i always put a BIN price.
