Help, auction 30% lower...

Hi everyone!,

Wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar, or how to go about it, im selling on spanish eBay at the moment...

I have one main competitor, i look at the items he is selling (the same as i sell), and the all end, at price X, which is a decent profit.

My products, sell at price Y, just covering my costs, and in somecases not covered all my costs.

My competitor's products are exactly the same as mine, his listing is nothing fancy, he does not have a shop, and only has 35feedback.

My titles are clear, descriptive and to the point, hardly any difference bwteen his and mine, same with the description, p&P charges are almost identical, give or take a few cents.

The only thing i can currently think of as to why every product i sell is at least 25% lower than his, or than it should be, is perhaps as i only have 6 feedback, and its a new account with limited history.

Perhaps the star you get once you have reached 10feedback makes a lot of difference?

or he is shill bidding to boost the price, but i think this is unlikely..

any idea or help is much needed! thanks

You have identified it in your posting - you are a new seller - you need to build credability

ok thanks, but would it really influence a 25% difference? thanks :)

Yes it would - buyers have to trust you

GrannyT does know her stuff :) You can validate that by just researching the price of the completed listings for any product on eb different sites by sellers and their ratings & you would see the difference.

I would not even start selling with less than 10 feedbacks unless i just want to get rid and dont care about price too much.
You will see how the price will change once you hit 30+ feedback or so.
Some good feedback for same sold items as you are selling now would highly benefit, but like i said get at least 10 and only them start selling if you after a profit

thanks a lot guys!, ill get my feedback, then see what the difference is :) thanks
