Default Cost of a photographer

For the first time ever I am thinking of having some professional photos taken for a new stock line. What is a reasonable cost for a photographer? Using his/her studio etc

Also keen to know this. I'm in London GT - not sure where you are. I've spoken to a couple of people and seems to really depend on time and equipment needed. One thing I've noticed though with my limited research is that try and find someone with a studio or well-lit space. You don't want to have to be paying to hire somewhere to do the shoot....item dependent, of course.

How long is a piece of string?

Sketch info for a reasonable reply.

Geordie mate who is a professional photographer starts at £85 for the set up & anything from £15 per item/ product in the job.

You might be able to negotiate a couple of hours 'hire' @ an inclusive rate cheaper.

Create an ad in gumtree and you will be surprise how many people will reply.you can negotiate with them by email or phone.

they might even come to your place and take the photos.

Price between £1-£5 is reasonable to me (depend on the product)

Why would you allow strangers off gumtree near your property?

Yes, they are similar, with people posting adverts and people responding to them. Craigslist has never been used too much in the UK so Gumtree is what is used here mostly.

I'm Really a photographer on the side i have my own studio in my house and it really depends on how long it takes me too take the amount of pictures my client needs when your talking about price the first hour is 100 then it goes down 25$ for every other hour so 175 for 2 hours 225 for 3 hours but most shoots last 1-3 hours it really doesn't take too long because i have everything already set up like back drops and lights some times I'm able to get every thing the client needs under a hour. but also every ones price depends on where they are and how busy they are just so you know I'm in the u.s.a connecticut hope this helps.

It's cheaper to buy a macro studio kit on Amazon and a nice DSLR. Photographers are a dime a dozen.
