Default Hidden keyword in ebay listing

Hi, I've been having a good look round these forums and will be buying eBay Stealth soon to see if there is anything i've overlooked in my time trying to bypass ebay's peskiness.

But on a slight side note, i've seen people manage to make listings that come up for certain search terms despite not having the key word anywhere in their listing. Not in the title, not in the MPN, nowhere to be found on the page, even when viewing the source code or ctrl+f.

So I was wondering if anyone knew how this has been done? They're definitely doing it intentionally and there is some sort of trick to achieving it. I feel it would be very helpful for evading ebay bans too since they don't like certain words being used sometimes.
So far the listings i've seen doing this have been posted using 'ebay app for android' but this may just be a coincidence. Perhaps it's some sort of hidden MPN?

Any help?
Thanks in advance!

It might not be hidden keywords at all. It might be just eBay search showing relevant results. I've searched for 'Kitty' before and got items with 'Cat' in the title and nothing about 'Kitty' in the listing.

If it's not in the source code, there's no hidden keyword. You can't technically hide stuff and not have it show up in the source code at least.

if it is a trick.......and they finally catch you... expect lots of your listings to be removed, and an email headed to your inbox.

I sell an item that is not allowed (not foo-foo) So I can't show a picture of the item but everyone knows what it is, this item is one of my highest selling items and the highest profit.

I use keywords in white, as the background it white, and have done this for a few years with no problems. Of course the keywords are visible in the html but not visible on the listing.

I have a string of keyword, maybe 10 and included in that are three words which are the actual product. It works for me, not sure if its legal on eBay but they have not been pulled in two years.

The listing has been there for a long time on a good till canceled. If I put the hidden keyword in the search, only one listing comes up - mine.

This product is not allowed on ebay.

Nope its not viagra, nothing like that and I have no intension of saying what it is either

Talking Re: Hidden keyword in ebay listing

Has anyone figured this out?

With one product, the same seller lists dozens of listings that appear? They also use a few different usernames, and yet if we were to list the same product under the exact same name and description, nothing shows up. I have tried the white background keywords.
Does anybody have a clue?

I know you can assign key words into a photo in Lightroom.

Do believe this is then stored in the meta data and could work.

BUT, EB can find the meta data of any pictures used IF they are looking.
