Cant make ebay listings on iphone ithout app

Hey. I'm trying to start using my iphone to list items, but I cant figure out how to add pictures. I'm trying to do it without using any of the ebay/PP apps, but when I list like I normally would on my laptop, Im unable to use their standard picture uploader because my iphone (4s) doesnt have flash, and when I choose the basic uploader, the "browse" button never appears. Has anyone else encountered this?

I guess one solution would be to tether my laptop to the iphone, and just do it through my laptop, but I'd really like to be able to do it all through the phone if possible.

Any information or suggestions is appreciated. Thanks.

What browser? This can make all the difference. Safari sucks at everything.

yes, I've been attempting it with safari =/

I just downloaded "atomic web" browser, and had the same issue using that browser. When I click "add picture", the page that comes up prompts me to use the "browse" button to find a picture, but the browse button never appears.

Try Dolphin and Opera. But, I still think you may have problems. When I used my Pad in the past, I don't ever remember being able to get the pictures to upload.

You need Adobe Flash to browse and upload pics. Even if you find a 3rd party app to allow you to use Flash, I don't think it will have the capability to browse through directories in iOS.

I was looking at options for you with 3rd party listing apps and I stumbled upon garagesale HD for iphone and iPad. NICE! I didn't know they had an app. Downloading now but if your phone isnt jailbroken it's $99

EDIT: Garagesale HD isnt actually an app. Garagesale is the name of it and theres a free version and $8 version.

Garagesale looks like a great find. I've checked out some screen shots of it, and read reviews, and it seems to be what I am looking for. I'm wondering what I would have to be concerned with in terms of stealth using it. Since all the pictures seem to be stored on garagesales own hosting service, I wonder if uploading the pics to eBay through the garagesale app would give any trackable info to eBay, that could be used to link accounts if the same garagesale hosting account was found connected to multiple eBay accounts.

I'm not sure if just clearing cookies etc. would save me from being linked in that case. Ugh...sucks having to always plan around them. Either way the app looks good. I'll read a bit more+ probably test it myself in the next few days.

Really appreciate the suggestion hazy!!

No problem, glad I could help. Now to find out if it's traceable. Knowing Apple, I highly doubt they would allow any info to be shared with a 3rd party like eBay but dont quote me on that.

What other browsers exist as alternative to Safari?

C'mon, you should know there are tons. I listed 2 at the top. Chrome and Firefox also have mobile browsers. Skyfire, Maxthon and so many more. Just type "browser" in App store search you n00blet. :boink: :canada:

can we bump this, opera, FF, Chrome (basically safari) atomic web, do not allow any uploads via the browser.
keep in mind, this thread topic is geared towards Iphones. I am having the same issues with multiple devices (all iphones).

@thejerk

What are your intentions with using the iphone?

Just clarify that so you get the best stealth advice.
