Price raising software?

Is there automated software that raises the price of an item so high that no one will buy it? I want this for instances that I am running low on stock and do not want to loose the number of sold history. I see plenty of sellers doing this but wonder if they manually do this. thank you.

I would think that this is manually done. Sounds like a nice idea to add to listing software.

A better idea is not to sell more than what you have and plan accordingly. If you have 5 units, don't list 10 and have issues with your customers...

If I have needed to do that I have always increased the price manually (I have only done this 2 or 3 times though). Generally I just sell what I have in stock though and then wait to get new inventory and sell that on a new listing.

You can manually increase the price provided you have enough days before you receive inventory.
