FREE $25 eBay Gift Certificate?
 

I've created a few stealth accounts and noticed something. When I go to list an item to sell, save it, but DON'T complete the listing...

I will get an email like this from eBay encouraging me to finish it..

The "Finish your listing" is a hyperlink to my incomplete listing. On a previous account, I also got a $25 ebay coupon that I eventually used on a PS3 game (a free $25 game!).

Anyone else test this out and got the same experience?

If not, try it! Doesn't hurt to get $25 eBay coupon for your first sale! :thumb:

Is this for the first item to be sold on the account? Haven't seen it...but I have not saved a listing either...interesting find An0n.

Yes, it only applied to the first listing. I noticed this on an account created in July. Then again just this week.

So, I was wondering if others were getting this "freebies" and if there was some sort of trigger that resulted in this.

It could just be my luck, but thought I would share in case some others have seen this.

I receive this one that I posted here yesterday...so it took 2 weeks. I would post the email, but I'm at work :-).

I also saw on another account, I received a $5 Gift certificate. They are also offering another $20 coupon if I list and sell 10 items between 10/3 - 10/6. Unfortunately, that one is a newer account and I won't meet that criteria.

Seems like they are giving out more freebies for new sellers (maybe some sort of promotion for the upcoming Holiday season?). Whatever it is, be on the lookout!

Ive done it with no problems on one of my stealth accounts. Your right, seems to be an incentive for new sellers. Will post back if anything different happens.

I got one last week and was afraid to use it. well I did Monday and because it's stealth account I used it to send a gift to my daughter just because she is. Now I think I will look in my deleted emails for the other account I created. Having some fear about stealth is healthy. However I have learned some unhealthy paranoia here. Just need to keep in in check.

P.S. I just found the deleted email and intend to use it for Christmas gift. Thank you OP.

Lately, I've only been getting the $5 ones as well. Keep in mind that I originally posted this back in September, so maybe they've adjusted how much they are giving out.

I got two eBay accounts got first sale on both last month. No gift offer at all.

No, the code is unique to the account it was sent to. Even if you tried, it would fail. But if you did try, you could possibly be linked as MM78 mentions.

How do you guys get that 25 or 30 dollar product to where u can receive it? Can't put my house address there. Do u email the seller to a seperate address?

x2 I was wondering the same thing especially if it is a stealth seller account, how the heck do you receive whatever you purchased???? Even if you did send an email to the seller, it would have to be thru their email system and that means they will see it... most sellers will not even ship to any other address besides the one on ebay / paypal...

I hope the op and others who did it with a stealth acc would let us know their secret lol.
