Default Exceeding seller limit?

I've recently listed a few high valued items on eBay as auction. Now due to unexpected buzz and bids, it looks like they might exceed my £3600 seller limit. I spoke with eBay's support team (after being transferred three times) and they weren't much help in supplying an answer.

If the bids take me over the £3600 mark, will I have any issues? I have read about the auctions being ended early and other horror stories.

I'm not worried about listing any more for this month, just more concerned about the current auctions. Thanks for the help!

What is likely to happen is this...

Your auctions will end - if you go over the limit, a few days later (or day after - around those lines), eB will send you an e-mail RETROSPECTIVELY saying your listing is being pulled for being over your limits.

Winning bidders MAY be e-mail by eB to NOT go through on the transaction because of deletion of listing.

Can be annoying to you as a seller.

Be careful doing this as in some cases it will get you a manual review which you do not want.

I have gone over the limit many times with hitting my limit and then sending out second chance offers above and beyond my limit. They will most likely cancel existing auctions and second chance offers if or when you hit your limit(it doesnt happen immediately but usually pretty rapidly after)

Be careful of doing anything to make ebay look at your account, just for the sake of a listing.

Avoid repeating this sort of behavior or ebay may decide to stop your listing entirely.

ebay want the seller to play the game their way.

Has happened similar when I went over the amount of listings by sending second chance offers - buyers told me they couldnt select second chance.

2nd chance offers can be trouble.

I never do them until the account has increased limits.

Not worthwhile for me otherwise.
