| From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures As topic, does it mean I do have to remove and revise literrally ALL my listing?
All my listing consist wording like "free delivery" etc.
or else my account will be ban in late OCT.
Please advise.
Moreover, once I revise my listing, my search standing will drop? |
cookiecutter101 | 10-03-2013 01:53 AM | Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures This is not something new. They announced this a very long time ago.
It is already in effect for all listings, except GTC (good til' cancelled|), which will be in effect from Oct 30th.
Most sellers have already adjusted the pictures, it is the new policy.
If your pictures aren't up to standard, they bury you in the search results, so good luck getting any sales. |
Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures One more advise, if I change the pics, will I drop my current listing search standing? |
Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures Free delivery and graffiti are unrelated.
If you change the pics only, the current listing search standing is unlikely to drop. |
tmastermind | 10-03-2013 09:11 AM | Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures I for one think this is good that eBay are enforcing this. Makes it clearer neater and fairer! I never used graffiti in my listings with exception of one or two and that was only to say free P&P which has been removed as eBay now advertise that for me on pics. |
Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures We will see how the enforcement goes on this new policy - not completely in effect yet... |

What i mean is on my Main display pics, I do have wording such as "FREE DELIVERY".
Is it kind of graffiti on e b new policy? Or I had to remove it? Can I have some coloured frame to make it stand out? |
Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures You dont need that wording "Free Delivery" - if you look at listings with free shipping...all photos (well most) have a green ribbon that go across provided by eB that states clearly Free shipping.
I would remove it - not sure about coloured frame decision |

If it's an existing GTC listing it's exempt from the photo rules, unless you update it, then you have to revise it.
I wouldn't hold out much hope of ranking high in the listings with a poor photo (from eBay's point of view), best to revise it, and make it 1600 pixels on the widest side too. |

Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures Agree - think background colour is not the key issue |

Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures Border and background are different ideas if you think about it - one is meant to have a photo stand out, other is just the ....background |

ebay are just strange,
:pound: |
Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures an update of this post, today I had removed all the graffiti on the pics.
However, my display pics consist of more than 1 products, (it is a multi variation listing)
Consist of around 10-15 products on the display pics.
e b still judge my pics does not meet the standard.
Basicly is just 15 products with white background
Any advise on this? |
Re: From 30 October, Don’t include graffiti in pictures Yellow message or red message being provided by eB, awww? |
