Size photographs

I've struggled to day using sellersourcebook, Inkfrog and even eBays sell it yourself page. My photographs take an age to upload and on eBay they often fail to upload. I suspect that the problem may be the size of my photographs MB. I usually shrink them down to just under 1MB. Before i go off and experiment i want to know if you guys have any feedback on the size photographs that you upload to eBay and/or using auction management listing sites. Hope someone has some answers. Does anyone else find these sites such as Inkfrog, Auctiva to be a pain to use?

There's times when i miss being able to use Turbolister.

You can always make the file size smaller.

Curious to know what type of camera you're using that the file sizes are that large?

If it is a DSLR, there should be an option to lower the image quality to reduce the file size.

If the files are still large after reducing image quality, you can use an image resizer software.

Re: Size photographs

I just uploaded six photographs two at a time onto eBay and all went fine. I am wondering if is the time of day that can make a difference.

I have two cameras one a Canon compact and DSLR. I resize to just below 1MB although eBay does state that you can upload a 7MB pic.

edit: Just listed 6 auctions no problems, it suggests evenings may be better for uploading photographs.
