My items do not show up in search results?
 

I listed an item Saturday and had no views nor bids on an item that sells for $250 with a no reserve .99 cent start. I searched for it this evening and it didn't come up. I canceled the listing and listed 2 different items three and a half hours ago and neither are showing in search results?

Items can take 12-24 hours to appear on eBay search results.
Especially with accounts that are new to selling.

Like Bunneh said, can take upto 24 hours to show up

But make sure your keywords and category are correct n all

also depends on if your a top rated seller those are the first on the page.

Depends what you're selling.
Sometimes they'll throttle your traffic.

A lot of factors.
Flooded market?
How is your title? all keywords? no misspellings?
Multiple pics?
when you ended, if you used relist instead of sell similar it will bury your listing if you had no watchers. This can kill visibility entirely.

i think its an ebay trick for a new accounts: I cannot find my listed items from other ebay account with the same country IP. This is maybe done to make feedback manipulation harder.

It happens on all my 3 months old accounts(it takes exactly 12 hours to index the listing) . Today on one of the accounts which i made in september the listings showed up within 5 minutes

How long ago did you list the items?

There can be a delay in items being visible

Seriously? What if the market that I operate at is kind of specialist niche market with 10 popular sellers others just more of a hobbist?

Is there a thread somewhere where I could read more about listing visibility, the way the "whole thing works" and do's and dont's?:typing:

For new accounts, items take up to 1 day to appear, as new listings for them are being checked manually. This goes away after 1 month.

Are all your items one of a kind? I mean you don't have ten of the exact same item/

And have this today and this is the bizarre thing - The item only appears when I search Ebay on my PHONE (not logged in).

I have tried from various ebay accounts to find the item and it's not there

you need to be patient. some of my listings show up within 15 min, other same category, same description items show up after 24 hrs and some never shows up. have no clue why :(

Mine turned up eventually, still not clue as to why they were viewable on my phone

Firstly, instead of searching for the item, just go into your feedback, then click an option to see all your items for sale. If its showing up there, then its active, if not, then its not up yet.

Secondly, if its not up, give it time, I would say give it at least 72 hours with it being stealth account. Dont pull a listing down, and put two up etc... no, just list one, and leave it.

Dont know much about your history - but $250 is quite steep if its one of your first items put up for sale.

Also bare in mind, any minute changes to the listing, so much as a full stop, on a brand new seller account, could take your listing into what I call a hidden mode, whereby nobody can see it, but after about 24 hours it comes back up.
