ebay auction strategy - How many quantity is appropriate

I have got several quantities of a specific products and I am wondering if I should list 1 and relist another immediately one auction end. Doing this would mean I can only sell 10 units within a month based on a three day listing strategy.

Whats the best approach.

Really down to what works best for that product.

I would give that method a go and see how it works, then try another method to see if you get better results.

Depends on demand.
I list high demand items the moment the first gets a bid. Some days and some items it might be hundreds of auctions a day.

Hundreads of items a day for same product @yankee. Do u list them as variations or just increase the qtty available for sale. As I understand, ebay frown on replicating an exact listing when one is still active.

Shed more light pls.

Every little help

Duplicate listings on auctions are only blocked if the first item does not have a bid. If you have 10 auctsions going all with bids, you can list more and get visibility. The moment an item gets a bid we list another.

Once you get sales, use the "relist" feature that way anyone who was watching and/or bidding get a notice. Typically I can get bids within minutes on my popular items using this method once sales have occurred.

I think the Op was thinking they couldn't list the same item until the auction ended.

If your item is a popular selling item, than list it at a low price and once you get a bid list another

By starting at .99 you will get that first bid really quick and list the next

Also you can change the wording in your title and also the opening bid price slightly and it usually goes through as a separate listing

If you have in demand items, auctions are king! It is all about the velocity of transactions.

No two items are similar, although all in same category. Average at £15. Just did close to £300 a day on a new account. Unfortunately they gonna hold funds for 14 days. Anything I could do to overide this hold?

Mark items as dispatched and add tracking will reduce the holds

You mean I should add tracking in the ebay (where it requested tracking?). I dont know if myherms will give away my identity just by providing tracking to ebay.
