Low Risk Items To Sell??

Alright guys

I have read a lot if you own any sort of Stealth Accounts that you need to start selling low risk items over first to get eBay to trust you, before you start selling anything that is classed as a high risk item..

From my understanding high risk items, are things like branded items.. But then that where the problem lies.. Most items are sort have got a name/branded

So at the moment I am currently having a hard time working out what I can/have got, to sell that is actually low risk..

This.

Just wonder into your local cahrity shops and spend about £20, you'll be walking about with two bags of very random stuff to sell. Non branded, low risk, almost always sells. Very easy over here in UK.

DVD's are super high risk on 1st items, CD's are up there too....T-Shirts will depend on what is printed on the Shirt.

Currency. Sell Euros, Dollars. People make a ton of money selling cash on EB. Crisp New bills, if selling more than one at a time, Sequential serial numbers, old good look bills.

I haven't tried it myself, but I might give it a shot. I'll go to the bank today and see if they have crisp bills. :D

Just saw a guy selling new $100 bills for $140 ea... had over 340 sales ($13k in overage - not factoring shipping since the seller offers free s/h)

Is money considered high risk? :P I doubt it if it's low currency amounts.

Used books, cloths are low risk items. Jewellery, electronics, diamonds are examples of high risk items.

Garden items, household items, office supplies.... These are pretty low risk...

DO NOT go with the advice of DVD or IPhone chargers. Might as well start with beats if you gonna do those!

Here is an idea,
You can sell wooden products for furniture like iphone docks etc..
does will give you good margin on earnings.

Just don't use terms like "iphone" in your title or listing...

Just how much feedback do you need to sell higher risk branded items? At what point do eBay/PayPal start trusting you more?

There's no set number, there's nothing written in stone so your going to have to figure it out on your own really. Some will say 20, 30, 10, heck some will say start selling your items now with 0 feedback.....A lot of people experiment with the numbers, you might want to do the same.

Is this more to do with eBay or PayPal? Don't PayPal restrict your PayPal account if you sell too quickly or receive large amounts per transaction on new accounts?

What is the ideal receiving limit one should keep within and for how long to keep under the radar?

Would converting from a Premier to a Business account straight away help with being able to receive larger amounts?

I have read of people using stealth PayPal accounts for large amounts rather than spreading their transactions across numerous accounts.

It's really not about FEEDBACK when it comes to "trust" with eBay, especially paypal. The "trust" only comes into play with customers, not actually the companies.

If were talking about a live person reviewing the account of course feedback helps but BOTS is what you should be worried about and they aren't worried about feedback. They care about sales vs risk.

few high risk ior in big quantity? be prepared for questions if it is alot.....

its not just feedback, it is longevity too...
I would say 20-30 feedback plus over a year old...

and then after all that, you can list a high risk item and get a take down and all your waiting was for nothing........hehe

my suggestion is sell low risk items that make you a profit on your accounts, if you want to mix in a high risk item occasionally, go ahead, at least you wont have wasted your time with the account up to that point....

Books are subject to category restrictions - not low risk IMO

Re: Low Risk Items To Sell??

Everything can at one point be considered high or low risk. You can take any low risk item with poor strategy and make it very high risk.

Take recipes that sell for under $1 for instance. If you choose to take the easy route and make it digital then you make it high risk....

If you decide to actual ship out a paper copy of the recipe then eBay will most likely have 0 problems with you selling them.

The eBook specifically noted clothing as low-risk... maybe it depends on the brand? Commonly counterfeited brands like Armani, Versace, etc. could be high-risk, but I would think low-to-mid-range brands that aren't commonly counterfeited should be ok.

That's false and I don't know why it would say that, probably outdated info. Most of the low to mid level clothing on eBay is counterfeit also.
