Yeah it's believed that offering returns increases your search rank... also I believe you can be a TRS without returns but you won't get the discount on your listing's FSV unless you offer a 30 day return policy.

I just refund them and tell them sorry for the hassle they had with the item, no need to return... if it has value worth fighting for I'll mail them the shipping label with the name 'RETURNS CENTER' and an address I have access to.

I do the same "Returns" yeah some people just complain about anything, I've had some who complained about packaging and not liking it. Like really? Then they tell you "what are you going to do about it?" those people are so problematic.

I sometimes receive packages that have a return label already in the package. How does this work? Someone above said that UPS offers this. I would only be wanting to include this in certain packages that are high dollar. I use USPS, not UPS. Assuming that the original shipment must also be UPS, does USPS offer anything like this? And how does it work? Does it cost anything to print it or does it just charge you if the label is used?

I do. The way I see it, they're going to find a way to return it whether or not you have it returns enabled or not. I cut my losses and just let them keep the item, but ask for positive feedback in exchange. Always works. However, I feel like some people are catching onto this method and use it to get free stuff.

NEVER ask for feedback in exchange. That's considered feedback manipulation and can get you banned right quick.

I Sell on ET.SY

I offer return. However my shipping cost is very high. I send products from Turkey and use DHL, Fedex and UPS Express services. Shipping cost covers around %35 of the total turnover. Even my products are cheaper then the shipping cost.

If a buyer is not happy with the products, I offer return, But tell them that the shipping cost would be very high for them. Most of them dont want to pay the returning shipping cost.

For the second round , I offer partial refund and tell them that the products would stay at them. Most of them; maybe 90-95% accepts it.

Put me in the group that doesn't accept returns, and I just refund.

I'd rather take that loss and stay under the radar.

Of course, most of my stuff is $10 or less, so I can take that hit since I sell in bulk.

Dear celebrityphotos4you,
If you have 10 phrases for a week the $ 100 also could be painful.

accepting returns makes buyers more likely to buy from you. Unless none of your competitors are offering returns.

yOU MUST BE Working for Ebay, thats how Ebay thinks, good sellers dont get too many returns.
But margin is thin so free returns can put a dent in your pocket book, also returned merchandise could be a counterfeit, siwtcharoo, used ,damaged.
I have a buyer who bought a gold bangle from me,her wrist is too thick for that size, when it was returned,it was out of shape, how am I supposed to resell it?
Sometimes it is buyer remorse, they think they can flip and turn a profit, sometimes they need to go to a party with your designer gown, handbag?
Even wedding gown?
A local handyman told me once he bought a tool on Ebay, used it and return it as renting it cost him too much money

anyway,INAD trumps seller no return policy,no return means you dont want the item back

Ebay buyers do not read your return policy,if you refuse return, then they will just open a cAse of INAD item not as described and make you pay return shipping

Yes always best to offer 30 day return paid by the buyer, than no return, you may luck out and they choose wrong size or does not fit and they pay. Otherwise it will be a INAD with you paying the return mailing costs.

I do not offer them on either account as I only want buyers who are serious about the item. I try to resolve issues so there is no need to open a return, as buyers can regardless....

Are you selling from personal accounts then? I'd assumed .com are the same as .co.uk where businesses have to accept returns.

IMO it is madness to try and run a successful business from personal accounts.

whether you accept returns or not, if a buyer files a claim with eBay it won't matter.
I find it useless to set "no returns".
