Item Watchers - possible vero spy?

If a vero item only has 1-2 hours that it has been listed it's most likely still impossible to find it by searching it (usually takes me 6-12 hours to find my items available by search). But if it's only been 2 hours and you have a watcher already, is this probably a vero spy?

You are being watched by the ghost in the machine.

GreenBean 12-23-2008 11:41 PM

^^^It's the Ghost of Christmas Past;)

Johnny_88 12-23-2008 11:47 PM

LOL am i supposed to take this as an obvious yes? hahaha I don't know what to make of your answers and I'm actually laughing out loud after reading them. I assume my question answers itself?

Here We Go Again 12-23-2008 11:53 PM

That is a yes....
Big possible VERO ghost....

Johnny_88 12-23-2008 11:54 PM

shizer. Shall i go with the flow?

TGMT² 12-23-2008 11:55 PM

Basically the Best answer is to joke about it...I mean really, how in the world would anyone really know except the actual watcher?

There is absolutely nothing you can do about it, so just relax.

Johnny_88 12-24-2008 12:00 AM

Why dont they just end it now? They like to watch until the last minute and then cut us off? I swear they get a kick out of it =]

yaw1800 12-24-2008 09:28 AM

even if you end it it can still get removed .. trust me
Happened to me twice

GreenBean 12-24-2008 06:26 PM

SWIM told me that these are nasties that mess with you;)

Johnny_88 12-24-2008 08:35 PM

What do you mean mess with you? VEROs either take your item down, or don't. What can they do to mess? Do you mean they stick around? lol

oompaloompa 12-27-2008 03:47 PM

aloe vero

Vero owners take you down by faxing ebay or calling or whatever, some have massive factories of staff doing it for them others are just mployees doing it as and when they can, it might take a while for the order to execute goes through thats all and thats also correct even when item won and closed an still be cancelled, in fact even when its won, paid for, and positive feedback given it can be taken down although that normally happens in conjunction with account suspension. They are not sick, they are just doing their jobs.
These watchers could be anybody, you cant make any decisions just based on that...

yaw1800 12-27-2008 04:25 PM

how does ebay verify that the person calling in is an employee? is there a special hotline fo vero reports?

oompaloompa 12-28-2008 05:28 AM

si e vero!

I expect they have a verified email or fax number.

I saw one once , it gives all ther contact details etc. I got in to it with vero owner once, the the owner was nice and tried to get me my account back by emailing ebay for me and copied me in, because I proved my stuff was legit to them, ebay still did not give me back my account, not sure why, i think it is because i made them look stupid by beng right, so they threw their rattle out of the pram, but then again I didnt care that much, as i found this forum and was selling same stuff again, within 3 weeks ......
