| philly387 | 01-19-2009 04:06 PM | Auctiva I was wondering how many people use Auctiva and what their favorite feature is? I have never used it before... |
| Here We Go Again | 01-19-2009 04:47 PM | Love it....
Safe from eBay IP linking
Multiple Pictures - FREE of charge
Scheduled uploads to eBay - FREE
WYSIWYG + HTML listing creation.
MUCH easier to create listings than in the eBay listing creator.
If using the Auctiva checkout option you can add a Merch account. |
| BooMer | 01-19-2009 06:52 PM | I use to pay $100 a month to use Andale which is now Vendio which had the Gallery/Slide show and other features.
Since I found out about Auctiva I canceled my subscription with Vendio and saved myself $100.00 a month since Auctiva is Free.
I only use Auctiva for the Gallery/Slideshow feature. I use Dreamweaver to create/save my listing templates and host pictures through my Comcast Email account which have 1gb storage per email address. I transfer files/pictures through CuteFTP pro.
I know Auctiva have templates and host pictures for free but I find it more convenient to make change pictures using CuteFTP.

| Jonas | 01-19-2009 09:53 PM | Favorite feature is the automated checkout connection from eBay to authorize.net. |

| Jonas | 01-22-2009 08:00 PM | Authorize.net is an internet terminal, not a merchant account.
PayFlow Payment Gateway, I think it's called, is PayPal's terminal that eBay might force merchant accountholders to use exclusively through eBay in the future. |
| Exeneva | 01-27-2009 12:02 AM | That's great to hear, Modee. Please do keep us updated on that. |
| aquariusvc | 03-07-2009 09:55 PM | i love this easy ways to listing selling on eBay hoho |
| newguy121 | 03-08-2009 03:20 PM | Not sure if this was said.
But if you use authorize.net with auctiva and put your data in. Does it share with ebay that data?
Who on here does this? I am not so much worried about sharing of the data, but how effective using this method is to get people to pay via credit card VS paypal. |
| Freedom | 03-08-2009 05:21 PM | any chance ebay buys auctiva? Should we worry about one day having big problems because we used 40 accounts for 1 ip address? |

Seems like so much conflicting info going around that cancels the need to do certain things. |
No, Northpeak. Auctiva does not share your IP with Ebay.. Your auctions come straight from Auctiva server. |
| lasvegas68 | 04-30-2009 03:55 PM | I, also, used to use Andale because it was a flat rate and I could count on that but when Vendio took over they snook their percentage based fees in and that's when I told them to kiss my A$#. I immediately went to Auctiva and have been happy ever since. Wouldn't change a thing. Love that you can schedule listings, lots of pictures, lots of free templates and best of all it's FREE. I don't think you would be sorry if you used them. |
| hitch | 05-01-2009 12:14 AM | Question: Not really sure where to ask this but here it goes.
I've been selling LEGIT items on ebay, but I recently took apayment of $750 on 1 paypal transaction as a "service" paypal imidiately froze my account.. okay fine.
Can I make a stealth account with paypal, and just put it into my Auctiva Check out section and be clear?
My eBay account is not suspended but my paypal accoutn is limited with $1700 in there
So my question is, can I just make a new paypal account, fully verify it and use it with auctiva/ebay with no problems?
I did log into my ebay account and it said "Problem with paypal account . . ." so i know it's linked.. When I made the ebay accout, I linked it for payment options.. that's how they know about that paypal accoutn.
however will they close a NEW paypal account I make and just put it in auctivas "check out option" and never link it to ebay? |
| yaw1800 | 05-01-2009 09:08 AM | From my experience, If your linked ebay/paypal is limited, you wont even be able to list items..
you're best bet is to try to get the limitation removed or make new accounts |

Okay, bare with me here. So basically, as long as I am listing and doing everything I can through auctiva, I don't need to worry about changing my ip. correct?
When I need to log onto ebay for any reason, I could get on a dial-up (which changes my ip address), and log on my computer under a different user designated for that particular ebay account?
Is that the least complicated way to do this and still being untraceable? or am I missing something?
Also, If I am using auctiva, would the only reason to log onto ebay be to pay the fees, or are there ways to never have to log onto ebay for anything?
Thanks for everyones help! I know you guys get ticked if someone is asking too many questions without reading every post on the entire site first to find the answers, so if these are questions that have already been addressed, than please forgive me. It would take me a year to read all the posts. |
| lakeman | 05-01-2009 01:04 PM | You got it northpeak, thats right ebay can't see your ip through auctiva. If you do need to log on to ebay, which the only reason I can think of Is to pay fees, then use dialup and a user account for that ebay/paypal account. |
| SevnSins | 05-01-2009 01:33 PM | Auctiva is GREAT!
Also checkout Auctiva Commerce. |
| kuntrykok | 05-08-2009 07:42 PM | So if using Auctiva you do not need to go into your Ebay account and signup for the payflow gateway? Just turn off Ebay checkout and let Auctiva manage that aspect. I have just gotten my Authorize.net / Merchant Plus account up and running and have entered the info into Auctiva. I unchecked paypal as an option (this is a pre-11/07 account) in Auctiva. Should I be ready to list items using Auctiva and not have to worry about contacting Ebay about not using paypal and the payflow b.s.? Just wondering before listing a trial item to see how it all works.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
