BatchPurifier 7.0
I have just bought a stealth account and am getting ready to list my first item on Ebay. I have my new User Account, Bank Account, etc and was told I need to use BatchPurifier to clean my jpeg files.
I was reading a few comments on this page about after cleaning the photo's if you right click on the cleaned photo it will still show the owners name and owner of the computer. Is this right? If so what would be the best program to use to get rid of this information. Thank you. |

| That information doesn't get seen by Ebay....just food for thought, even if they did see it.....there are millions of computers out there, can't see a link happening. |

If oyu can take and always use your own pictures and keep each seperate on each user account you have then there is no chance of a link through this hidden data or DARTA as you yanks call it! |

yes, data should be pronounced like captain picard does....
so you can get online exif viewers, so upload a photo and check it that way, it should show no exif if cleaned correctly...... |

| MM78 is right - that info cannot be seen by Ebay or anyone you share your photos with.
From the BatchPurifier User Guide: (FAQ section) Quote:
Why Does The Windows' Properties Viewer Shows Properties Like “Owner” And “Computer” of a Purified File?
The details under the “File” section in “Details” tab of Windows' file properties viewer, that can be accessed by right-clicking on a file and selecting Properties, such as “Date created”, “Date modified”, “Owner”, and “Computer”, are not part of the file itself. If the file will be sent to another computer, the shown details will be different. Thus, they cannot be removed from the file as they were never part of the file to begin with. These properties are like labels on a book shelf. If a book is taken out, the labels will not go along

If I were to take a bunch of pictures with a digital camera (or Iphone I guess) and list them on 2 separate accounts (without purifying/processing them), would eBay be able to tell that they are from the same source and link the accounts? |

The only thing really left is the computer/user/dir location, mainly (a couple other little things like file size & pixels). All of that info changes as you move the jpeg as the file moves between accounts/ users, so just by uploading that info is changed. |
