New Account Listing Schedule

Just read the Stealth Book, some great info in there!!

I do have a question about the New Account Listing Schedule that Aspkin outlines.
He says, based on your current selling limits:

10/1000: Increase weekly listings by 2 (1,3,5...) for the first month, then 3 the next month, then 4 after that.

50/5000: Increase weekly listings by 4 (1,3,5...) for the first month, then 6 the next month, then 8 after that.

1000/25000: Increase weekly listings by 6 (1,3,5...) for the first month, then 12 the next month, then 24 after that.

I don't quite understand what this means? If I list 1 item the first week, then 3 items the second week etc., is it 100% positive that my limit will increase by the second week of the second month, when I'll have to list 13 to keep up with the pattern?
Or will I still have 10/1000, in which case I'll have to keep listing 10 items every week until they raise my limits?

Also, when my limits DO get raised, say they get raised to 50/5000, do I continue the original pattern (increase weekly listings by 2,3,4,5,6 etc.) or do I move on to the next pattern? (increase by 4,6,8,10 etc.)

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.

I know I'm probably overthinking it, but is there anyone out there that has any thoughts on this, or has gone through the process recently?

Thanks in advance from the bottom of my little Noob heart.

Re: New Account Listing Schedule

Your selling limit won't increase until you call ebay to let them increase for you. However if your new account has 50/5000 limit, that doesn't mean you can sell $5000 per month. You better start from small, stay under the radar. Then when you build solid feedback you can start sell more. ebay has their own way to measure how much each account should sell as a beginner. That is nothing you can fight about it. Start from small and low risky item is the best way to go. Sell too many or too fast as a beginner is suicide.

Remember it's weekend here as well, everyone is slower to respond to threads at the weekend, especially on Sunday's. op you only waited an hour before adding another plea for people to respond, in reality you are going to have wait longer than that on a weekend. By the way ajgoldie, no one can guarantee you will increased limits on your account no matter what you do. The only guaranteed way is to spread your sales amongst more accounts so get to it, either make your own new stealth accounts or buy a few more.

The Stealth Guide is just that, a guide. I would contest the methods suggested are not optimal, certainly for UK stealthers. They are however good basics.

There is plenty of up to date and valuable info on the forum. You should spend some time and have a good read.:thumb:

You can call in for an increase, though risky, and not always guaranteed. They can question you, and if you dont answer properly, you could be doomed.

Best option in my view is let the account get the increases on its own. Its a sign your account is performing well (in the eyes of ebay), and feels like a pat on the back (big ask from ebay, I know).

Dont worry about figures. Just list slowly, *risk free/non vero* items. It helps if you constantly question *yourself*, is what I am about to do going to look too suspicious for a brand new seller?.... and so forth.

Increases are random. From your post it seems you are very impatient (sorry if I sound rude), so I would suggest going straight to the account sellers section and purchasing from there. I deal with ELMO (http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-ac...available.html) - he responds to messages superfast and I'm sure thats something your after.

Hope that all helps OP!

In what way do you think they are they?

I find the requirements and methods to trigger a raise are very, very predictable and absolutely not random.

However the size of the increase is.

Possibly you know the formula to an increase, and I dont. Which if true, nullifies my statement. Care to share?

Plenty already written about it on the forum by members, including myself.

The truth is out there. :spy:

From what I read, sell to limits, ensure feedback pours in, .... and so forth. But I still find it does not always result in an increase. True, more often than not it does. But I still feel there are 'yet unknown' factors that play a part. (for me at least)

Re: New Account Listing Schedule

I just bought accounts on here with 100/£3500 i got 2-3 buying FB and listed a BIN with 100 units all sold out within 2 weeks of me listing that BIN the limits were raised to 200/£3500. I then called in they told me to call back with 40% FB comes in , i did now its 1000/£6000.
Thats in the space of 3 weeks.

My stuff is all generic mass produced so theres no question really of the authenticity so had no worries of eBay asking where its from etc.I had another account similar before within 4 months of calling i had it to £60,000/10,000 by just maxing limits calling in but yet again was stuff like screen protectors etc.

Re: New Account Listing Schedule

thanks for the tips guys! Yes, I would like to get started as soon as possible, but if I have to take it slow in order to be a success with this, then that's what I'm gonna do.

I've never asked this specific question before, though:

If I eventually plan on Amazon to Ebay dropshipping arbitrage when my accounts are aged 4-7 months... I can't just start out with random household items then start selling amazon products/BIN at the 4-7 month mark, right?

I heard Yankee on another thread mentioning this wouldn't work. Anyone on the forum ever deal with this situation?

Re: New Account Listing Schedule

ebay wont know your getting from Amazon unless someone tells them.

But thats not the point, in your case the question is, how much will these amazon items 'vary' from the items you start selling on the account.

For example, if you sell household items, cleaning products for 4 months, then all of a sudden start selling kindle's from Amazon - that would be very risky.

Just be gentle on the account and avoid risky activities.

Re: New Account Listing Schedule

Its always good to start with generic items and also include items that you intend to sell on the account in the future.

So in the first month of an account i may sell 5 low cost generic items and 2items that i plan on actually selling in the near future. And than increase the amounts in the on coming months.

If you do not show any history of selling items you plan to sell in the near future and only sell generic low priced items than when the holds are lifted after 90Days 25 and $250 , and you go and start listing diffent items paypal is likely to continue holds
