1 year on with new account...Do you think im safe?
 

Hey guys, I had my ebay account suspended a few years ago.
Since then I have made a few other accounts which were suspended immediately because I was unaware of their linking accounts procedures.
I managed to move house and stared fresh with new bank account, new address, phone number, paypal account and new ip. My account is now over a year old and I have not been contacted by ebay or had any issues.
My question is do you think I am safe? Has anyone had their account suspended due to being linked to old accounts years later?

Yes, Ive had accounts linked because I didn't understand stealth procedures.

My honest answer is this: No, you are never totally safe and once you feel you are in a safe zone with ebay/paypal/amazon, is when it usually all comes crashing down.

I recommend you do 4 things:

1: Get the stealth guide
2: Read around the forums
3: Create MANY backups
4: Keep pushing forward / do not get disheartened

Stay on your P's and Q's

Also, moving house is not needed for ebay stealth...Ebay is one of the easiest platforms to get back on.

If the name and the DOB is still the same then its still possible that you will get linked and limited I am afraid. That possibility never goes away since eBay and PayPal always keep all your details on file even many many years later.

Should I edit those now (if I even can)? Would this work to my advantage?

You will have already entered your DOB and name when making the accounts so it's a bit too late to edit that part now. Just keep your fingers crossed!

Biggest advantage would be not to keep too many funds in PP
and have few spare EB accounts If this one will get down
It might stay alive forever, it might get down any minute
