No more woolworths Prepaid
 

Hi guys,

I went to purchase the woolworths prepaid visa and the staff told me they no longer sell them! I asked if they will come back and I was told very unlikely it will.

So where do we go from here to verify Credit Card?

They are not selling any branded Woolworths cards anymore. There are alternatives ready available. Might cost a tad more and tie up more money but I can not understand anyone having a problem with that.

We lost Woolworths in Canada ages ago - so many fond memories...

woolworths was loosing money here last couple of years and have had to make a few adjustments. They are offering a third party card now (they have stocked it for awhile) in lieu of the Woolworths branded one. Which I find easier to use online and from memory you can verify your PP account with it soon as you add card instead of having to wait a few days as you did with the Woolworths product.

Coles prepaid card OUT from sale..............
Anyone have better information if it is some new government regulation?

just saw this warning in coles website:

Coles Prepaid Cards
Important: The Coles Reloadable Mastercard and the Coles Online Mastercard are no longer available to new customers. Existing customers can continue to use their cards as normal and access their account online through the prepaid service centre.

i got this response from Coles when I asked

thanks for your message. We are constantly reviewing our product range and due to insufficient customer demand we have decided to no longer offer the Reloadable Mastercard. At this stage we have no plans to introduce another reloadable card product. Many thanks, Briony - Customer Care

i messaged them ages ago telling them i would buy way more if they didnt block little amounts so it could be verified with paypal but they didn't listen lol. not to mention making it online only is stupid. the aus post load & go cards have had extraordinary sales, it's not that hard for the supermarkets to simply copy it and beat them with far more customers going there, but apparently this has been too hard for them to figure out.
