Load & Go's - How stealth should you go?

G'day blokes,

I've read through the stealth guide and hoping to get some accounts up and running shortly.

With regard to the Auspost Load & Go cards, what is the best practice with giving out information? Do you use your details, address etc, or do you get creative?
If so, what is the best way to go about this? I assume if you buy them over the counter they ask for ID? And if you buy them online, you would need to input your real address to receive the card right?

Cheers,

Bob

They always ask for ID and if you don't wanna go to jail you better just give it to them.
If your doing something illegal it's the wrong forum to ask for advice.

Thanks for the reply Klemantina - I was concerned with the card details linking my accounts, but after seeing Paypal can't access your name and address from your bank account, I guess it is something not to worry about?

for anything banking or credit cards, always use your real details. Paypal etc...cant see the name and address.

No they do not ask for ID and you can put any info you want on them when you activate it online. You cannot use the load and go card to activate a bank account anymore anyways though as paypal has banned their bsb, but you can still use it as a credit card.

if you're referring to the load and go travel card they do ask for you ID. i've never used one though so i don't know if the bsb on those ones are different or not.

They have just started asking for ID when purchasing over the counter ever since they rolled out the new app. However all they do is 'sight' it and don't write in any details of the ID or anything. Not sure what the point of that is.

Turns out the point is so you can load funds from your bank account onto the card making it easier to reload. But you already could do that via bank transfer. But now you can do it via the app as well. Lol.

Ah! I was curious so went and bought another one yesterday to see what would happen, but they didn't ask for ID - Was the same process as the others I've purchased.

I just purchased a L&G Card and got asked for 2 forms of ID which were recorded in the system, phone number and email address. Not sure what the point of that was?

Does anyone know if someone can have 2 L&G cards under the same details?
