Confirm identity message from PP
 
Today one of my accounts reached over $800 balance and I got a message from PP asking to confirm my identity. I login to my account and find it is fully functional and can withdraw all the amount. PP is asking me to confirm my name and DOB using Equifax. If they can't verify my details they will ask for ID documentation. I have 40 days to respond. Any suggestions?

I have accounts that I've been using for years with that message. But I don't remember ever getting an x amount of days to respond message. They may have changed it, I haven't had a new account going over the $800 for a couple of years, but the ones that have years ago still function normally to this day and still have that message in the resolution centre lol.

Actually this is the message I received:

"If you don't provide the required information by 15 February 1970, you won't be able to receive, withdraw and send money from your PayPal account until you do so. If you have any questions or require more assistance please contact us. You can also visit our Account Limitations page for more information on why we limit accounts and the documents we may require to verify your identity."

You read correctly; 1970!

I presumed they meant 15 Feb 2018 so that's how I calculated 40 days.

ATO clocks had a meltdown which caused the computers to malfunction.

Laugh not, the outside heat caused the few glitches that got missed.

Can ask what was the outcome of this? Did anything happen after the 15th of Feb?

Sorry for the late reply but I have not been getting email notifications for some reason.
Nothing happened after 15 Feb and every couple of weeks or so I would get the message again. Problem now is my account has reached over $1000 and they are asking for docs.

every time after you get 1000 aud PayPal ask ID and proof of address just upload it and limitation will be remove in 24-72 h I'm sure

Did you create the account yourself or you bought it?
If you have all infos related to this account, it shoudn't be an issue to restore it on time.

Don't keep money in there for goodness sake, keep it at zero, move it out as quickly as you can.

Next you'll be asking how to get your money before 180 days.
