Ebay Permanent Suspension
 

Hey All,
First time poster here.

I recently opened an ebay account, logged in via facebook.
Copied a listing format, Listed my items.

1 day later i recieve a notification saying my ad has been unlisted and my account is permanently Suspended.

Contacted ebay, This is the response
"Before being able to list or buy items, regularly, whenever we see potential risks involved in a member's activity we would be requiring them to provide more information of the account or verification of identity. I'll be happy to assist you." Then

"You've done nothing wrong and have not been singled out -- many sellers, from new members to titanium Power Sellers, have limits on the amount they can sell and are asked to confirm this same information."

And then he tried ending the chat with

"Unfortunately, we will have to keep that information to ourselves as risk detection is an internal procedure. All we can say is we are unable to see future in this partnership and thus it would be better to part ways."

I dont understand, I hope you guys are able to help out

Copied a listing format? Meaning reuse of a listing from another account?

try another chat and escalate to a supervisor to find out more, by more i mean ask what you need to provide and state to get it removed, usually they want to know more about your business and what your selling and they will ask a few questions before removing your limitation.

However in some cases it is permanent, maybe you listed branded products or high priced items too soon on a new accoun.

Failing that open another with fresh IP and fresh details and start out smaller and build feedback over 90 days before listing those items again.

It happens, I have had it many times.

When you open a new account you have to be extremely cautious when listing and logging in. For the first 3 months or so you need to list items around your home, or go buy some things on sale locally and list them. No fancy descriptions. Absolute basic. Be boring. As soon as you draw attention to your new account you're toast

Unfortunate, ull have to make a stealth. Make sure you take it slowly at the start and when you make it make sure it has NO links to your previous account or ull very likely to get flagged again.

The weird Thing is guys it was all Pokemon cards, the most expensive item was $20 aud.

Sell household items for at least 3 months straight. Books, clothes etc

Yea i copied someone elses, im very new to selling on ebay and liked their format.

Here's some advice for you:

1. Start with the stealth guide

2. Forget this account, it's a waste of time at this point

3. Stop stealing other people's work

4. Everything you do and present you have to write, make and photograph yourself.

Sorry i shouldve been a little clearer.
Just the format, when you click sell something similar, I copied the layout.
Took my own pics, worded it all myself.

It doesn't matter, eBay will suspend/limit you for many reasons you will not know about.

I can create a new account and on day 1 copy other listings word for word and photos worth hundreds, or thousands each item, not get banned and even the P@P@l account will not even have a 21 day hold and instantly release my funds and go on for months like this - happens a lot.

On the other hand I could open the same account and get suspended immediately.

But overall most accounts will need to go slow and use basic listings with low prices for a few months before you go big.

Last I checked you cannot speak to a live representative, they force you to go online and log a ticket, email, or live chat.

Utterly hopeless and disgusting customer service of course (protip: people who work at eb and pp steal customer data for selling/fraud/scams).
