Hi all Im just going through the steps in ebay stealth, Im at the section where it talks about name variations and setting up your bank accounts.

1.How can this apply for Aussie bank accounts if you can't put anything other than your personal details that you have photo id for to open a bank account.

2.When I did have a amateur paypal stealth account, they had my false name which was uneditable in the account name section and asked me for my account number, and then underneath that they had a note that said that they can't deposit funds into an account if the name they have and the name on the bank account are different and that on top of that, I'd be charged a fee for it not going through.

dont worry about that, they just say that to try and scare you...
Open a bank account in your real name, on paypal just put the bsb and account number in along with your stealth name... no problems

In Australia, the bank account MUST be made in your real name. You supply your own real ID to do that. That's the correct manner to get a bank account. :ranger:

We then move along to when you/any account user goes to add the banking info to the paypal account. Paypal make a comment about the name ( as you said) being correct. They fib. tbh, this has caught so many of the Australian users. All you need to do is add the correct BSB, correct bank account numbers AND the name of the stealth paypal account. Sweet, isn't it? You do what paypal want. Your stealth name on paypal with your (real) bank info. Paypal see numbers only, for most banks, and not names :pop2:

Yup, correcto mondo Greenbean. If you wish to get clarification, just ring the bank, and they will confirm that with online banking (wich is what paypal is,) it doesnt matter what name anyone puts on the account name, as long as the bsb and account number are correct, thats all that matters.

IE:

Your dad wants to give you some $$ through internet banking, he can put in the transfer

Acc name: Scoobydoo
bsb 063 111
acc 12345123

As long as the bsb and account numbers are correct - it will arrive in your bank account. ;)

OMG, those cheaky so and so's, if I had've known that I wouldn't have had my account limited and closed with $1800 in it.
